Yoz yoz, 2 days nv see me online...miss me anot. Haha. Ghost den will miss me. Anyway, ya, AVA camp juz officially finished and the farewell party oso went on "smoothly" last night too. So...ya, gd lor. So alot to blog bout today, lets start from AVA camp day 1. *****AVA Camp Day 1****** Everyone gathered outside dance room at 7.50am. We J1s are expecting this camp to b kinda fun like filled wif games n stuff but ya, we r obviously disapointed. Maria was late coz he juz returned to SIngapore that morning from China. So ya, we hav to wait for her b4 reporting to the classroom coz we need full strenght, Anyway, the whole camp is a learning camp la where the seniors pass down almost everything we needa know so....haha. First, we learnt hall system again, this time more indepth. We took the whole morning, which is like....woah. Oh yah, we oso went to e recording room inside dance studio to familiarize ourselves to our "future home" in ajc for the next 1.5 years. We oso learnt something bout Ulead which is quite fei4 actually but den no info is useless rite. So its e best part of camp....lunch. Well, perhaps we overestimate this aspect coz we r rather disapointed wif lunch. Haha. Undeniably speaking, the food sux, utterly sux. But ya, muz learn to b thankful wad....so bo bian hav to eat. After lunch we learn audi system which again we r quite familiar of, juz dat this time more indept, den we oso learn something damn cool ..... live feedback. Its something like live telecast thingy where u can connect wadeva u r filming at one end of e sch to a mini satellite, which transmit to another satellite connected to the projector or visualizer and it can b shown in e hall or audi. Cool rite. Xian chang zhi bo leh. So yah, very fun, dats e most fun thing la, in ava technology. So....we ended at bout 5 where me, maria n jeremy go j8 n prepare to e bbq e day after. (For more details, read my previous post). *************AVA Camp Day 2*************** As usual, everyone gathered outside dance studio. I carried e bbq stuff all e way from home to sch. Yah, so does other pple that r responsible. Everyone is in farewell BBQ mode la, but den, we still hav a learning camp to attend rite. So firstly, we learnt outdoor system. Outdoor system is kinda ma fan la, coz we hav to carry 4 big heavy speakers that weigh bout 10kg each and fix them up on stands (hey, we r doing work against gravity, the speakers gain GPE...dortz). Den we oso muz bring mixer, amplifier, equalizer wadeva wif lotsa cables. I tell u, i hate the cables, they r so ma fan, both to uncoil n coil. But ya, its wad we needa know. So we locate ourselves outside PE dept where we start blasting music (after we learnt how to handle e system). And den i think it disturbs e teachers inside la, so Lim Kok Wee n Aurthur lim came out to see wad e hell is going on. Haha. Anyway, we den hav to set up everything right from e scrach outside e audi as well as outside e hall la. We r given time limit oso...so fun. I tell u e speakers r damn heavy....i still dunno how e hell we got them up on e stand. But ya, its a success. This took us the whole morning where den its lunch. The J2s ordered from e same stall again n of coz, needless to say, e food sux. Haha. After that we hav an external guy to come giv a tok on video production. This allows us to skip afternoon PE. So nice. That guy is an ex ajcian la, and i think its one of e earlier batch considering his age. (Ooopps) So he tok bout how we shd start filming, how we shd produce professional standard video n stuff...but ya.....i still managed to keep myself awake. So the talk wad like chao1 shi2 lor, we r suppose to end at 4.30 but we ended at 5. Die, lesser time to prepare for farewell BBQ. So immediately after e thing end, everyone of us J1s chionged to our destination to prepare for our BBQ. Haha, yup, we muz develop e sense of urgency in us. ***********Farewell BBQ************* I dunno bout e rest but i shall tok bout how me, maria n jeremy prepare for e party within e short period of time. The 3 of us chionged down to bishan J8 by MRT, managed to reach there at bout 5.15pm? So we went into e NTUC, where i grabbed a basket, and start shopping for e food. The bulky stuff we brought earlier on e day b4 rite, we let tony n desmond bring them down to east coast pk first la, coz desmond rich ma, got private transportation. So we went to e chiller section where we bought sotong balls, crabsticks n stuff. Den went to BBQ section to buy charcoal, which to our surprise, happens to b lighter than it seems to be. So ya, we basically finish buying our stuff. So we proceeded to e Pola cake shop to collect e bdae cake we ordered the day b4. I think we managed to do that by 5.40, so we ran to e bus interchange to take a bus (service no. 55) down to East Coast Pk to meet wif e other grp of J1s. During e bus ride right, there was this grp of students, whom i think r younger than us by 1 year or so, sitting infront of us la. Den this guy in green kept diao-ing us 3 la, juz bcoz e 3 of us talked abit louder...juz abit only. This caused maria to b very bu shuang of him la. Den i was like...ok....xi shi ning ren better. Anyway, we took a damn long bus ride down to east coast pk. We alighted opposite Tao Nan School where we walk across e HDB flats n across ECP using e underpass. We arrived at Marine Cove where it started to rain, to our dismay. I mean, b4 that e sky alreadi damn black le. So bo bian, e bbq still hav to go on. We quickly go to our pit where Tony n desmond they all alreadi started to fire. Maria quickly ran away to hide the surprise bdae cake. Well, i think things r quite obvious le but ya, true, Des didn really notice anything bout our surprise. Oh yah, i muz mention bout how nice Des's parents were to help us alot at e BBQ, even bought us extra food, we r damn so touched, serious. Thankyou auntie uncle. So yah, as e drizzle continued, e fire starting process continued. We placed our bags at the shelther that was occupied by another grp of pple, they r so kind to let us place our stuff. Anyway, it was 7 when e seniors arrived. Me n maria went to fetch them at Marine Cove. Well, i can tell they had a hard time locating the venue. Thanks to me, perhaps. Hahaha. So ya, as more n more seniors arrive, we proceed on to our bbq process. It was quite fun la, actually, all of us really enjoyed it. The rain even stopped, to our likeing. Well, as e sky darkens, lightnings can b seen far away at the sea, which i joked that "ava farewell party got natural lighting effects somemore". Haha. But we r quite lucky not to b striked by any. So ya, soon (well, not very soon coz it was alreadi 8+ to 9), the teachers arrived. Erm....however, we didn really hav much food left for them but ya, they still get their share. Den suddenly maria n i played MIA la, obviously to prepare e cake for desmond. So as we walked towards e pit wif e cake in her hand and e umbrella in my (quite a funny scene), e candles extinguishes. Hahahaa. So funny. Yah, Desmond was kinda surprise la, den everyone sang happy bdae song to him. Awwwwwww......e cake was rather a small one, and he noticed our wordings. Hahaha. So cut cake, blow candle, wadeva, we enjoyed melted choco cake. Duh. Den Maria suggested we play games (well, not suggest, coz we plan them b4 hand). So yah, we played zong ji mi ma lah, where e dio-ed victim gotta drink some strange concortion comprising of softdrinks, curry, wadeva disgusting things u can find. Haha. Yucks. We managed to victimize Mr Eugene Ng oso. Hahaha. Can sense the disgustment, really very disgusting. However, he very sporting la, he finished his special cocktail we prepared. Next, we played sissor paper stone, where e winner can splash a cut of water on the loser. Its kinda adapted from some taiwan variety programme la, but who cares. Everyone got wet in e end. So ya, after much enjoyment, its 10pm. Everyone started packing, some left alreadi. The last few of us left e pit at 10.40pm where we took e same bus 135 home. I reached home at bout 11.30pm la, not as late as i expect. Yah, we enjoyed ourselves n i trust that e seniors enjoyed themselves too. At least our efforts r not put to waste. *************AVA Camp Day 3**************** Nothing much happened today. We had our individual situation test. All of us are to individually set up stuffs in a very short time. Yah, very stressed la. We got 5 stations, that includes hall, audi, outdoor system, live feed and one more, that i forgot. Anyway, marks r counted la. Obviously, i so lan4 how can score well. Hahaha. So that took us e whole day. We oso had group test la, where we got a series of events happening minutes after another n we gotta get the stuff ready. Haha. That one is like, almost like mission impossible la. In one of e preparation, i gotta prepare outdoor lightings la. So i gotta climb this shakey laddar to hang 3 heavy spot lights n drop lights outside e hall. Wa, i tell u, i was like shaking la, not bcoz i too weak to carry the heavy lightings up, but bcoz i scared they will drop down n kill someone if i hang them too loosely. haha. Very scared. The pple around me oso very scared. Yah, basically that was e most difficult part la, and we were not taught on how to hang the stupid light up there lor. So yah. After everything, we got movie screening cum pizza dinner at dance studio. So yah, left sch at 7+ and went home straight. So here i am, back from AVA camp. Lol. Wif that, cya !!! (Long entry sia)
